Episode 56 – Human/Sex Trafficking, How to Protect Our Families with Leonard, Former Inmate

Title

Tony interviews Leonard, a former inmate, and medical professional, who was recently released from jail where he learned a tremendous amount of information on how to protect our children from the dangers of human trafficking. While in jail, Leonard, a father himself, learned from people imprisoned for the crimes of human trafficking, about the specifics of who and how they target, which leads to a power conversation about what we can do to protect our children immediately. Leonard wanted to share the information that he learned in an effort to help spread the word about how many unsuspecting teens are being groomed, sometimes right underneath their parents watch, by very organized individuals who pose as peers leading, at times, to ultimately devastating consequences. In the episode Tony mentioned the organization Stand Up Placer (http://www.standupplacer.org/) If you are a victim of Human Trafficking, or believe you may be involved in a potential Human Trafficking situation, please call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at (888) 373-7888; or you can visit https://humantraffickinghotline.org/ You can also find information there if you are interested in learning more about how you can help fight Human Trafficking.
